Instructor – Surrey, BC

MTI is seeking Instructors for its new training facility in Surrey. Instructors teach advanced training courses to both experienced professional truck drivers and to individuals considering a career in truck driving.

We are seeking individuals with a background in the trucking industry as a professional truck driver and a strong interest in training. The ideal candidate will be:

• Passionate about promoting and improving the professionalism of truck drivers
• An experienced driver
• Have an interest in and demonstrated aptitude for teaching
• Comfortable with computers and advanced technology
• Willing to work shifts if necessary
• Happy to be home everyday

Preference will be given to candidates with extensive driving experience and who are qualified ICBC licensed Instructors. Training may be provided to highly motivated, well qualified applicants.

Demand for MTI's Earning Your Wheels course continues to grow and we are expanding our capacity to meet the demand. We require new instructors to join our team of dedicated training professionals.

It takes a special person to be an MTI instructor, you must be passionate about improving the professionalism of truck driving in Canada and your values include a strong belief in "doing it right". This position is open to anyone who meets the following requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years professional truck driving experience
• A belief that "doing it by the book" is the right way to drive
• Interested in teaching and mentoring student drivers
• Excellent communications skills
